Create Yourself

Hi!  Happy New  Year!  Once I decided to create a blog; I got excited.  My blog is intended to help and inspire my family and friends.  I know a lot of people I encounter daily have no self worth, or self esteem.  I hope that you will be encouraged this year to "Create Yourself!" 
    As you start out on this new adventure of 2014, think of it as a way to start fresh in your life.  Were there things in your past that brought you down....dump them.  Maybe it was a relationship, maybe an old habit, maybe something simple - like hairstyle or your weight.  Let me stop right here and let you know, all of us have something in our life to work on.  Weight can be a problem for many; but, God made each of us different!  We're not all suppose to look like a model or movie star.  So many of our children/teens get false ideas of how they are suppose to look, dress, act from Hollywood, Nashville, or New York.  No it's not good to overeat or starve yourself; but you need to be yourself.  You need to be happy with you!
   Let's look at what you want this year; new job, new home, better health, new look....what is your priority?
First, my suggestion would be to sit down and take paper with pencil.  Make 2 columns; mark one side what I am now, the other is what you want in 2014.  Now, start listing what you have now - job, relationships, style, car,etc. Once you have listed all this go to the other column and start that list.  What part of you, are you not satisfied with?  Now get back to the heart of what makes you unsatisfied....Is it other people or yourself?
Start right now to better yourself...pick up your Bible and start reading.  Get yourself a cheap tablet and start writing down your thoughts.  Make a column in your tablet for prayer concerns, for praises, for answered prayer....start 2014 with making a difference in how you see yourself through God's Word.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
God has your path right there for you; waiting for you to take it.  So many today are unhappy with themselves because they are reaping what they have sown.

Now go out and Create Yourself!  Pray, Read your Bible and Sing! Enjoy your life, things always have a way of getting us down; but keep on your path the adventure is just starting!
